This cohort runs fully remote, over 9 Saturdays this winter:

Class runs 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. Pacific/11 a.m. –7 p.m. Eastern each day, with about 40 hours of homework and plenty of reading woven throughout the 4 months.
We especially want to hear from Black, Indigenous, and people of color and other world majority folx, as well as disabled applicants. If you’re already familiar with audio description, haven’t been paid to write AD or live-describe before, and you’re picturing a future as a freelance AD writer for TV and film, this is for you.
What graduates get:
- About $2,100 worth of training, at no cost to you
- A $900 stipend when you complete the program
- A paid freelance apprenticeship with a major AD producer, with mentorship from an experienced AD writer
