Glynn Turman co-starred at age 12 as Travis Younger in the original 1959 Broadway stage production of Lorraine Hansberry’s A Raisin in the Sun. The classic stars Sidney Poitier, Ruby Dee, Claudia McNeil, Diana Sands, Ivan Dixon, Louis Gossett Jr., Lonnie Elder III, and John Fiedler. Today, Glynn Turman is an actor, writer, director, and producer. He appeared in such plays as Good BoysHarper’s Ferry, and The Visit. His film and television work include Five on the Black Hand SideCooley HighThe InkwellHow Stella Got Her Groove Back,  Buffalo SoldiersIt’s A Different WorldThe Wire, and other performances. 

Turman will appear in the ABC network limited series Women of the Movement portraying Emmett Till’s great-uncle, Mose Wright.
