Sweet Taste of the Arts 2024
Evolution of Imagination
Join us for an elegant evening of cocktails, dinner, engaging conversation, awards, dancing to live music, live auction and special appearances as we honor local artists and community leaders!
Please join us for our 23rd annual Sweet Taste of The Arts: Evolution of Imagination, on Saturday, August 17, 2024, 5pm to 8:00pm at the Melody Event Center, 615 SE Alder St, Portland, Oregon. We are raising funds to support our mission to entertain, educate, and celebrate our culture while highlighting critical issues that impact our community.
PassinArt: A Theatre Company is Oregon’s longest-producing Black American theatre company. We provide opportunities for emerging and experienced artists (youth and adults), playwrights and directors to perfect and share their craft in the Portland/Metro area.
Dollars raised will support PassinArt’s key programs:
- Pacific Northwest Multicultural (PNMC) Readers Series and Film Festival 2025: Four days of new works for stage and screen by local, regional and national writers from multiple cultures and perspectives—all showcased under the festival theme, Celebrating our Differences Together.
- Play Reading Mondays at the Albina Arts Center: Cultural, spiritual and social themes that promote healing, well-being, justice and joy within and across generations and cultures.
- PassinArt Youth Theater Academy: Offering all aspects of theater arts to children, youth and teens in a culturally intelligent curriculum. They build skills and learn about career opportunities in technical theater.
